About the event
Join us for a wonderful breakfast and engaging presentation on the Harrier jet. This impressive plane can take off and land vertically! It flies unlike any other jet aircraft, utilizing Vectored Thrust, with two pairs of nozzles at the wing base, in which turbine by-pass air is routed to one while jet exhaust is directed through the other. This combination enables the Harrier to hover or fly based on the position of the nozzles, which are controlled by a lever near the throttle. Enjoy a tour of the jet after the presentation!
Presenter Mick Lavicska is a Marine Corps Combat veteran of two tours in Beirut Lebanon 1983, Honorably Discharged rank of Sergeant. He was a Harrier Avionics Technician stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC.
Enjoy an assortment of pancakes, french toast, eggs, sausage, potatoes, juice, coffee, tea, fruit and more. The breakfast is open to the public.
